My family ordered some food from this restaurant to celebrate my birthday and let me tell you. We ordered some seafood and chef’s special, and the food was wonderful. The shark fin soup, steamed oysters with garlic sauce, Pipi with XO sauce and steamed Murray Cod were fresh and flavorful, especially the Murray Cod was perfectly cooked, chewy and soft and blended well with the sauce. The pipi was not too spicy and blended well with the donuts. Oysters were rich of garlic flavoured.
We also ordered the whole peking duck set, the duck was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The best peking duck I have ever had. And we got free fried rice and fried mixed vegetables from the set as well. The lady recommended us black pepper beef and we loved it. The portions were also huge that we couldn’t finished the roasted duck. Will definitely come back again especially for their seafood.

The Bear House Restaurant in Cranbourne is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that every dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, all crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I was particularly impressed with their signature dishes—each bite was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The portion sizes are generous, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you receive. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal with family or a special dinner out, this restaurant delivers every time. The ambience is cozy yet modern, perfect for relaxing and enjoying your meal. The Bear House has quickly become my go-to spot in Cranbourne, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and outstanding service!

The food here is tasty. I had Beef.& vegetables in black bean sausage with fried rice. The set menu I went with was $13.80 which included a soft drink or tea. I had a lemon squash served in a glass and lovely and cold.
The size suited me as a senior, but if I had a bigger appetite, you would be better to go for a different menu, with one being $19.80.
I have seen mixed reviews of this place, but today, the group I was with enjoyed it.
It might make a difference if they know you and you group are intending to have a meal so they are more prepared.

I met a friend here for a dinner that he booked. On arrving, I did not realise it was a chinese restuarant immediately. The buildings styling is more bar/pub. The staff were very friendly and engaging. The food was very good. We had peking duck which was amongst the best I've had in Melbourne and was carved at the table the traditional way. I highly recommend this restuarant. If you've not been here give it a try.
